Terms of Service

These terms apply to the automotive services provided by PSM Workshop at 172K Marua Road, Ellerslie, Auckland 1051, New Zealand. By booking work with us you agree to these terms.

Estimates and quotes

Quotes and estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time and the vehicle's condition when assessed. Figures can change once work begins and the full extent of any fault is known. Where this happens we will contact you before carrying out further chargeable work.

Approval of additional work

If we identify additional faults or work while your vehicle is with us, we will contact you to explain what we have found and seek your approval before proceeding. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your authorisation.

Diagnostic charges

Some faults require diagnostic time to investigate before a repair can be quoted. Where a diagnostic charge applies we will let you know before that work begins. Diagnostic findings are reported to you so you can decide how to proceed.

Customer-supplied parts

Where we agree to fit parts supplied by you, any manufacturer or supplier warranty on those parts remains between you and the party you purchased them from. Our workmanship warranty covers the work we carry out, not the parts themselves.

Vehicle collection

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Vehicles remain subject to a lien until payment has been made in full. Please arrange collection during our opening hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Storage

We ask that vehicles are collected promptly once you have been notified that work is complete, so we can manage limited workshop space. If a vehicle cannot be collected within a reasonable time, please talk to us so we can make suitable arrangements.

Test driving

Where it is necessary to confirm a fault or verify a repair, we may road test your vehicle. Test driving is carried out by our team for the purpose of diagnosis and quality checking.

Loan vehicles

Loan cars may be available when booked in advance. Where a loan vehicle is provided, any specific conditions of use will be explained to you at the time.

ECU remapping estimates and vehicle condition

Any power, torque or economy figures discussed in relation to ECU remapping are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual results depend on the individual vehicle, its mechanical condition, fuel, modifications and other factors. We assess vehicle suitability before carrying out tuning work.

Consumer rights

Any applicable parts or workmanship warranty details will be outlined on the relevant quote or invoice. Nothing in these terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
