Product overview
Pro-Line Intake System Cleaner Diesel is a professional-strength active solvent for the diesel intake and throttle-valve area, formulated to loosen and remove contamination such as oil, resin and soot build-up. Left untreated, this contamination can affect the operability of moving intake components and reduce a diesel engine's overall reliability.
Unlike a fuel-tank additive, this product is sprayed directly into the intake tract with the engine running, using a spray probe fed in as close to the engine as possible. Because the application involves working near the air-flow meter and requires careful control of engine speed during spraying, professional workshop application is recommended over DIY use.
Key benefits
- Loosens and removes oil, resin and soot contamination from the diesel intake tract
- Helps restore free operation of moving intake and throttle-valve components
- Increases the operational reliability of diesel engines
Suitable for
- Diesel engines
- Direct intake and throttle-valve cleaning application
Application
Access the intake system as close to the engine as possible, downstream of the air-flow meter, with the engine running. Spray in short 2–3 second bursts at a minimum of 2,000 rpm, moving the probe to cover the intake tract, taking care not to let the product contact the air-flow meter or painted surfaces. If engine speed rises more than 1,000 rpm during application, stop spraying immediately. Stubborn deposits may require a second can. After use, run the engine for about 20 seconds at a minimum of 2,000 rpm to burn off any remaining residue.
Important information
- Correct application is essential — professional workshop use is recommended.
- Must not contact the air-flow meter or painted components.
